The 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert  allows you to explore various fascinating places quickly. Beginning within the cultural city of Fes, we visit Ifrane, referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco, and therefore the cedars forest. Midelt is our lunch stop, followed by a scenic drive along the Ziz valley. The tour includes visits to Rissani’s traditional market, Erfoud, the fossils town, and Merzouga’s Sahara. Experience camel rides, spend an evening during a luxurious desert camp, and witness magical sunset and sunrise within the Sahara. The tour concludes back in Fes.

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara

The 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert commences with an early pickup from Fes, driving through Imouzzer to explore Ifrane, often dubbed the Switzerland of Morocco. Continuing to the cedars forest, home to Barbary Macaques, you’ll feed them as you wander through the forest. Following lunch in Midelt, the journey proceeds to the Sahara via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and alongside the Ziz river.

Upon reaching Merzouga within the afternoon, switch to camels to traverse the sandy desert. Experience a captivating sunset atop a high dune, followed by the onward journey to the desert camp. Here, enjoy the enchanting atmosphere with Berber drums music, campfire dancing, and a captivating display of stars. Enjoy dinner and spend the night within the camp.  

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz valley – Ifrane – Fes

  Witness the mesmerizing sunrise within the desert, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and return on camels to Merzouga where your driver awaits. Depart the desert to explore Rissani, an ancient trading hub with a bustling souk. still Erfoud, visiting a fossilized marble workshop. Drive along the Ziz river, pause for a bird’s eye view of the Ziz valley, traverse the cedar forest and Ifrane, and conclude the journey in Fes. Your adventure concludes as we drop you off at the airport or your accommodation. End of the tour.
