The 2 days Zagora desert tour from Marrakech is a fantastic journey full of breathtaking sights. Beginning in Marrakech, we traverse the High Atlas Mountains and therefore the Tizi-N-Tichka pass before visiting the historic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Initially, we journey through the Tizi N-tichka pass (2260 m. altitude), passing by numerous Berber villages and pausing at intervals to relish the breathtaking panoramic views. Our first major stop is at the Ait Ben Hadou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its beauty and famously used as a backdrop in Hollywood blockbusters like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia, also as in TV series like Game of Thrones.

Following a lunch break at either Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate, we proceed through the Anti Atlas Mountains, traversing Berber Villages, and tracing the trail along the Draa Valley, acknowledged as Morocco’s largest palm plantation and residential to the country’s longest river. Our day concludes upon reaching Zagora within the afternoon, where you’ll start a camel trek through the Zagora desert. Witness a wide ranging sunset before heading to our Sahara camp. Here, enjoys a standard Moroccan dinner while enjoying drum entertainment under the starry night sky.

Day 2: Zagora to Marrakech

After an early morning camel ride to admire the stunning sunrise and enjoying a hearty Moroccan breakfast, we head to Ouarzazate, referred to as ‘The Gate Of The Desert.’ There, we explore the Taourirt Kasbah and visit renowned movie studios. On our return journey to Marrakech, we undergo the Tizi Ntichka pass and therefore the High Atlas Mountains.
