Embark on a 3 days tour from Errachidia to Merzouga desert. Over these 3 days and a couple of nights, you’ll immerse yourself within the desert landscape. Interact with nomads in their tents, enjoy the captivating Gnaoua music, and witness the lively dance performances of the Khamlia people. Explore an ancient eyeliner mine and find out the Merzouga wildlife lake located a brief distance away. Wander through the palm trees grove, experience camel rides, and marvel at the enchanting sunset and sunrise over the sand dunes. Spend an evening during a camp nestled within the heart of the Sahara. The journey concludes with visits to the normal souk of Rissani and Erfoud, the fossil town, before reaching Errachidia.

Day 1: Arrival to Errachidia – Merzouga

On the initial day of your 3 days tour from Errachidia to Merzouga desert, we’ll collect you from the airport and head south towards the Sahara in Merzouga. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Merzouga.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia the Gnaoua village – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove

Following breakfast, the day is devoted to exploring the captivating region of Merzouga, abundant with remarkable sites, including sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil areas, and stunning oases, offering an ideal backdrop for various outdoor activities.

Our journey commences in Merzouga, venturing off-road to go to an ancient eyeliner mine. A visit to the nomads in their handwoven tents follows, providing insights into their lifestyle as we savor Berber tea. Next, we head to the Khamlia village, where the colourful Gnaoua music and dancing performances unfold, presented by inhabitants from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Enjoy some free time for lunch at a restaurant, followed by a leisurely stroll through the palm trees grove. Continuing a couple of kilometers, we encounter the wild lake of Merzouga, also referred to as Flamingos Lake.

In the afternoon, start a camel ride across the sandy desert, pausing atop a high dune to relish the sunset, then proceed to the posh camp. Immerse yourself within the rhythmic beats of Berber drums, dancing round the campfire beneath the vast expanse of the star-studded sky. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay within the camp.

Day 3: Merzouga- Rissani – Erfoud – Errachidia airport

Witnessing the sunrise within the heart of the desert may be a morning essential. Following this, enjoy some free time for breakfast. Subsequently, return to Merzouga on camelback, where your driver awaits. counting on your flight schedule, depart the desert and head to Rissani, the traditional capital of Tafilalet and a prominent trading hub. After a stroll through Rissani souk, still Erfoud to explore one among the fossilized marble workshops. The journey then takes us to Errachidia, with stops for panoramic views, including the breathtaking sight of the Ziz valley. Finally, we reach Errachidia airport, marking the conclusion of the desert tour.
