Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Roses Valley – Boumalne Dades (6 Hours Drive)

The 3-days tour to Merzouga desert commences with an early pickup from either Marrakech’s airport or your accommodation. The journey unfolds through the captivating High Atlas Mountains and therefore the scenic Tizi-N-Tichka pass, allowing stops for panoramic views of the stunning landscapes.

Next, a visit to the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou awaits—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a fortified village showcased in numerous movies like Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and television series like Game of Thrones. Following this, we proceed towards “The gate of the desert,” Ouarzazate, where free time is allotted for lunch. Continuing the tour, we explore the Rose Valley, traversing the expansive palm grove of Skoura. Eventually, the journey takes us to Boumalne Dades, where accommodation for the night is arranged.  

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Sahara – Camel trekking – overnight during a luxury camp (4 Hour drive)

During the second day of your Morocco desert tour, the journey proceeds through the picturesque Dades Valley, pausing at a viewpoint overlooking the valley to savor the breathtaking panorama of the Dades Gorges. Continuing onwards, we reach the Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has sculpted a powerful canyon through the mountains, creating high red cliff-sided canyons. Our route then leads through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, with an opportunity for lunch along the way. Later within the afternoon, we reach the Merzouga Sahara. Here, you’ll transfer onto camels to journey across the sandy desert. Pause atop a high dune to witness the enchanting sunset before making your thanks to the luxurious desert camp. during this serene setting, enjoy Berber drum music, dance round the campfire beneath the vast starlit sky, and relish dinner and an overnight occupy the camp.  

Day 3: Merzouga Sahara – Draa Valley- Anti Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Marrakech (9 Hours Drive)

Start your day by awakening early to witness the captivating sunrise amidst the desert’s tranquility. Following this serene experience, enjoy a leisurely Moroccan breakfast. Later, return to Merzouga either on camelback or by the camp’s 4×4 vehicle, where your driver awaits.

The journey continues towards Rissani, renowned for its bustling ethnic souk. From there, we proceed to Alnif and trace along the Draa Valley, reveling in its picturesque expanse until we reach Ouarzazate. The route then takes us across the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, leading back to Marrakech.

Ultimately, the three-day desert tour concludes with a drop-off at your accommodation in Marrakech, marking the top of this memorable desert adventure.
