Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Errachidia – Dades gorges

The journey proceeds to Midelt for lunch before advancing to Errachidia via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the picturesque Ziz river. Upon reaching Errachidia, we visit Dades gorges through Boumalne Dades, making essential stops at the distinctive “monkey fingers” rock formation and a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the Dades valley. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay during a hotel.  

Day 2: Dades gorges – Todra Gorges -Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara – overnight in desert camp

Following breakfast, we proceed towards Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has sculpted an imposing canyon, characterized by towering red cliffs. Take a leisurely stroll through the gorges, absorbing the scenic great thing about the landscape. Our journey continues through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, with an opportunity for lunch along the way.

In the afternoon, we reach the Sahara in Merzouga. Transition to camel riding to traverse the sandy expanse, pausing to witness the enchanting sunset atop a lofty dune. The journey then results in an expensive desert camp, where you’ll relish Berber drum music, dance round the campfire beneath the expansive starlit sky. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay within the camp.  

Day 3: Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove

Enjoy leisure for lunch at a restaurant before strolling through a palm trees grove. Venture a couple of kilometers to behold the wild lake of Merzouga, also referred to as Flamingos Lake. Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz valley – Errachidia – Ifrane – Fes

Following breakfast, we depart the desert to explore Rissani town, the historic capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a key trading hub within the region, boasting a bustling souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Post a leisurely stroll through the Rissani souk, our journey continues to Erfoud, where we tour one among the fossilized marble workshops.

Subsequently, we traverse the Ziz river, pausing for a bird’s eye view of the Ziz valley. Our route takes us through the cedar forest and Ifrane before reaching Fes.
